How do I join?

Texas A&M Women's Water Polo is a club team. We encourage all levels of athletes--from first-timers to elite players--to learn and practice in a safe and friendly environment. During the fall semester, the leadership team is responsible for running practices. During the spring semester, we are joined by an external coach. Please contact us about joining. We will be attending Rec-A-Palooza. We will have an informational before the first day of practice. The only requirement is that you are a Texas A&M student taking at least 6 hours. Who can join?

Anyone can join! We are open to athletes of any ability. From first-timers to well-seasoned players, we accept anyone! There are no tryouts or experience required to be a part of our team. However, a background in swimming is recommended. If you'd like more information, please don't hesitate the reach out! We'd be happy to answer any questions! Additionally, we offer a two-week trial period to help you decide if water polo is for you!
Is there anything I need to do before participating?

Yes! First things first, we care about your safety! You will need to fill out an AOR & Standard of Conduct form. You can find this by clicking the link or going to sportclubs.tamu.edu. If you are under the age of 18, please contact us for a paper copy.
How much are dues?​
​
Dues can either be paid per semester or for the full year. We understand that we are working with college students and are able to offer payment plans as necessary. We offer a two-week trial period so you are able to see if this is the right fit for you!
For either the fall or spring semester, dues are $130* per semester for first-year players and $120 per semester for returning players.
For the full year, dues are $220* for first-year players and $200 for returning players.

Dues include an Adidas polo that will be worn at tournaments, practice and game latex caps, transportation to in-state tournaments (Nationals may include out of pocket fees) and housing for away tournaments (Nationals may include out of pocket fees). We offer a Texas A&M Water Polo suit for an additional charge.
*The difference in dues for first-time players covers half the cost of the Adidas polo that will be worn at all tournaments.*
